Support my running over October for Mental Health Research

This October, I’ll be taking part in Black Dog Institutes initiative called One Foot Forward, to show people living with mental illness that they are not alone.
I have grown up suffering from depression, anxiety, bipolar and adhd. I’ve also watched and supported the people around me suffering from their own mental illnesses. This matter is very close to my heart as mental illness is a worldwide issue that isn’t spoken about as often and openly as it should be. Psychologist appointments can cost up to $500 for an initial appointment, which is enough to scare a person into not seeking help. Because of this the free mental health services available are being pushed through the roof everyday as the staffing and resources are very limited compared to the demand. I’m hoping that everyone able to donate to this cause can be apart of helping at least one person get the support they need.
If you’re suffering at the moment please feel free to contact me at any time if you want to talk or just need someone to listen. Or contact some of the free services available:
If you or someone you are with is in immediate danger, please call 000 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department.
Beyond Blue: 1300224636
Lifeline: 131114
NSW Mental Health Line: 1800011511
Suicide Call Back Service: 1300659467
These services have helped me during crisis and I’ve found them to be a big support. There are many more out there but these are my current recommendations if you or anyone you know, may need them.
It would mean so much to me if you'd support my running of 50km over this October.

My Updates

In 2020 I was invited onto a podcast called Mens Mental Health to talk about my story and my thoughts on mental health.

I love talking about this topic and hearing other peoples stories, as you gain a sense of relief that you’re not alone. If anyone wants to hear a little bit about my mental health journey, I’ve linked the podcast down below :)
