My why!

This month I’ve taken on a big challenge with the Black Dog Institute, to walk/run 150 kilometres and raise funds and awareness for mental health. Why? Because mental health is something that’s touched my life and the lives of so many around me. As a Blak woman, a mum, and someone who carries community, culture and family on my shoulders, I know the weight we can carry. Too often our struggles are hidden, or brushed aside, but they’re real. And they matter. For me, this challenge is about more than just the kilometres. It’s about: • Showing up for myself and my kids. • Walking strong for my mob and community. • Breaking stigma and starting conversations about mental health. • Raising funds for research and programs that save lives. 150km isn’t going to be easy, especially as a mum trying to juggle everything, but I’m committed. Every step is a step forward, for me and for everyone who’s ever felt weighed down by mental health battles. If you’re able to support, whether that’s donating, sharing my link, or just sending me encouragement, I’d be so grateful. It all adds up, and it all makes a difference. Let’s walk this together ✊🏾💛🖤❤️

Support Our Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience symptoms of mental illness each year?

This October, our team is taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

We're walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support our walk.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.
