Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience symptoms of mental illness each year?

Mental illness can be debilitating and can have a devastating impact on not only those living with it, but those around them.

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help reduce the impact of mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Why walk 120km for mental health?

Im walking... In memory of my brother's mate from our teenage years. In memory of a colleague. In memory of my cousin's beautiful daughter. In memory of a teenager in our SCC community. For hope for the future of the ones I love who are putting one foot forward everyday. On the good days. The bad days. The dark days when the black dog almost wins. The sort of ok days. Brave. Strong. Loved. Because I'm not a trained psychologist or counsellor or psychiatrist, I can't give therapy. I'm not a doctor, I can't give medicine. But I can walk. I can raise money to support the people who can do those things. I can pray. So these are the things I do.
