Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience symptoms of mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

My Updates

Day 2

I walked 4 km yesterday, ate. nice savoury breakfast and didn’t get the hunger pains I had been getting, had a session with a psychologist, need to learn to re-frame my thoughts and feelings and what is true, I need to ask for help also. I also logged on to compass which was helpful.

Day 1

Day 1 of this challenge, I’m up at 6:30 am when my husband leaves for work, but I have gone back to bed on my phone, though I have downloaded an app called Opal which is locking my aps as I have been scrolling until I start work, so now I’m going to go out and walk, I’m going to try to walk 3 kms a day to hit 100 km over the next month. I have been severely depressed for a long time, especially after my latest miscarriage 3 weeks ago, I’ve done nothing but work, eat and sleep for the last 4 weeks, it’s time to make a change.
