Support My Walk for Mental Health Research
Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience symptoms of mental illness each year?
Mental illness can be debilitating and can have a devastating impact on not only those living with it, but those around them.
This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help reduce the impact of mental illness and suicide.
I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.
It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.
Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.
My Updates
I’ve reached my goal – and gone beyond 💙
Hi friends, I’m so excited to share that I’ve officially completed my One Foot Forward goal of 100km — and I didn’t stop there. I’ve now walked 104km (and counting!) this month. This challenge has been tough at times, but every step has been worth it to support the Black Dog Institute and their vital work in mental health research and suicide prevention. To everyone who has already sponsored me — thank you so much. Your encouragement and generosity have meant the world and truly kept me moving forward. The challenge doesn’t finish until the 31st, so there’s still time to support my journey if you’d like to help make an even bigger impact. Every donation, no matter the size, helps create hope for Australians living with mental illness. 👉 https://www.onefootforward.org.au/fundraisers/jessicakuykhoven 💙 Thank you for helping me turn steps into hope. For you, for me, for us 🫂

👣 This October, I’m walking One Foot Forward with the Black Dog Institute. Mental health has touched my life and the lives of those I care about. Every step I take is in solidarity with anyone who’s ever struggled — for those we’ve lost, those still finding their way, and those walking beside us. 💛
