Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 people experience symptoms of mental illness each year?

In fact, every day in Australia, 8 people will die from suicide.

On February 3rd 2021 my father nick took his life after many years of struggling with depression. The loss of my father is never something I want anyone to go through. Losing a parent/ friend to suicide leaves you with many questions and heart aches that you will never have answers too. I want to help make the change to help people suffering with mental health take a step forward to change their lives and find help for themselves.

Mental illness can be debilitating and can have a devastating impact on not only those living with it, but those around them.

This October, I’ll be walking to make a difference to the lives of people touched by mental illness and suicide!

I'm fundraising to raise money for life-changing research into treatment and prevention of mental illness, as well as vital support services.

It would mean so much to me if you'd support my walk this October.

My aim for 500km of the month of October is going to end with on the 30th of October to walk/ run 100km for the day. That 100km will be a massive mental and physical battle to simulate the battles people suffer on a daily basis with mental health and that each step forward to lead to a positive help and outcome. On the 30th day my 100km I encourage anyone that wants to to join me on my walk. To have friends, family or even a complete stranger support me is my main message with people suffering with mental health. We all need to support each other, be there, be present!

I would love anyone to come support me in any way they can. If it’s walking with me, donating money or just sharing my message!

Every single person has either suffered or had someone in their life suffer with mental health. Let’s all use our voices to support everyone every day. Let’s change the outcome.

This fundraising is for my dad, my loved ones who suffer and everyone who has suffered mental health. I’m here, I see you, I hear you and my heart is here for you.

Thank you everyone
