Support My Walk for Mental Health Research
For those of you that don't know me or my story, we lost my beautiful best friend Pete to suicide in March of 2020, just before the beginning of the pandemic.
Pete was the best. He was larger than life in every way, a big 'unit' (6'4) with big energy, a big smile and an even bigger heart.
He was a beautiful human who loved his family, his 2 whippets Apollo + Lili and his friends that extended to every corner of the globe.
A best friend, a fur dad, a brother, son, uncle, nephew, as you can imagine, he was just SO loved. And we all miss him so much.
One of the most challenging things about being bereaved by suicide is that until it does happen, you never think it is going to happen to someone you know. But as we continue to learn, the stats show that 1 in 5 of us will experience a Mental Health challenge in any given year, we realise more and more that Mental health doesn't discriminate.
In memory of our beautiful Pete, this October, I will walk 500km with the aim to raise $5000 to support the One Foot Forward campaign to help educate and in turn reduce the impact of mental illness and suicide.

Thank you to everyone who has generously donated so far. It has been such a treat to see your names pop into my emails and I am writing back to each of you as soon as I can. My initial goal was to walk 350km and raise $1500 but as I surpassed this early in the month, I decided to "go hard or go home". I am now aiming for 500km and $5000. Both are within reach(ish). Today I hit 360km with 9 more days to go. Love to all!My impact over 1 year

I’m walking in solidarity for those around us who are silently suffering, who are misunderstood, those who have suffered and for those we’ve lost. My best friend Peter Webb featured in my photo is forever my inspiration. We lost this beautiful human to suicide in March of 2020 and it’s changed my whole perspective on life. I’ve spent every day since then wishing I could have done more. I miss him so much!! In honour of Pete and so many Australians lost to suicide every year, this cause feels close to my heart as it has the ability to impact significant changes.
