Walking in Memory of Joey and Jessica

As many of you know, I've lost 2 very important people to suicide.

My partner Joey in 2008 and My beautiful friend Jessica in 2015.

In 2017, I was clinically diagnosed with PTSD, severe anxiety disorder and confirmed depression.

I was silently suffering for years and years before I sought help. There was a long road of self medicating and self harm before I was able to fight through it and seek help. For so many people, this doesn’t happen and they suffer in silence until they can’t continue on.

The ripple affects from losing someone close to you never go away. The "what if" and "if only" thoughts, at times, feel like they're suffocating you.

The pain of losing someone who CHOSE to end their life, is a wound for their loved ones that never heals.

I'm walking in solidarity this October in Loving Memory of Joey & Jessica, in Support of my loved ones today who suffer from Mental Health disorders and the people I care for who love and support someone they love with Mental Health disorders.

My Updates

My Whole Cause <3

Friday 10th Sep
Did you know, 1 in 5 people experience symptoms of Mental Health illness each year?

In fact, everyday in Australia, 8 people will die from Suicide.

Mental illness can be debilitating and can have a devastating impact on not only those living with it, but those around them.

This month, I'll be putting one foot forward and walking a MINIMUM of 100km to make a difference to the lives of people touched by mental illness and suicide.

The money I raise will fund support services for people who need them the most, as well as life-changing research into the PREVENTION and treatment of mental illness.

So many people I love and care about have been affected by mental health illness in some way, either by suffering themselves or watching someone suffer on the daily.

You know who you are, I love you and I'm doing this for you all and for them <3
