Support My Walk for Mental Health Research
Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience symptoms of mental illness each year?
This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.
I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.
It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.
Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.
My Updates
This challenge is close to my heart
At age 19, I was diagnosed with depression. When asked what depression felt like, I would say, it's like having a black veil covering your eyes. Everything is dark and there is an overwhelming feeling of hopelessness.
I am doing better now but I still have to work on my mental health every day, some days more than others. I'm very blessed to have the support of such wonderful family, friends and doctors, but there's always this looming fear that one day the darkness will return.
To give back and help create better mental health for others, I'm walking 60km in 'One Foot Forward' during the month of October. I would love if you could support me by donating (no matter how small, it all helps)!
