Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

My Updates

Do hard stuff

July 2025 I went for a routine surgery on a chronic wound that wasn't closing that no doctor could tell me why. 2 weeks after surgey, and after dealing with infection, I got really unwell. Ended up in the hospital and I was seen in straight away. Odd, right. Turns out, I was that unwell that my body was shutting down, and quickly. The nurses, doctors, everyone, did an amazing job, and it turned out I have an autoimmune disease called Ulcerative Pancolitis. Started on "rescue therapy" (rescued me from surgery and any potential risks in the state I was in) and 2 weeks later, I was "well" enough to be discharged. I couldn't even stand, after those 2 weeks, let alone walk. Every step was agony. That was August 2025. Fast forward to now after surviving that experience where I nearly didn't make it to my own wedding, I have just jogged 10KM. Be proud of where you are, but be even prouder of what got you here!
