One Foot Forward for Mental Health
Throughout October, Alfred Deakin High School is proud to support the Black Dog Institute through One Foot Forward – a virtual walking challenge held during Mental Health Month.
One Foot Forward brings thousands of Australians together to walk, run or move in solidarity with the 5 million Australians who experience mental illness each year.
Our school community is getting involved to raise awareness, start important conversations and raise funds to support vital mental health research and services.
Students, staff, families and friends can get involved by walking, running or moving 40km, 60km, 100km, 150km – or simply choosing a distance that works for them. Every kilometre is a step forward for mental health.
Whether you join the challenge, donate or simply help spread the word, every contribution makes a difference.
Together, we can show those experiencing mental illness that they are not alone. 💙
Let’s get moving, Deakin!
