Support My Walk for Mental Health Research
Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?
This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.
I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.
It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.
Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.
My Updates
A little about me
Hi all. I’m Alisha. I’ve struggled with anxiety and depression over the years, like many others! medicated, non medicated- trying different strategies. sometimes things work, sometimes they don’t!! and that’s ok! 4 years ago, my family lost the most bubbly, energetic, beautiful girl in the world. My sister in lawn, Dani. (although she was more my sister than my husbands sister 🤫) Life without her bright blue eyes and sarcastic laugh, is not the same! Additionally, I have children (ages 14 and 17) who suffer from this illness too! I’ll be honest, self harm, and even a 48 hour stay in a psychiatric ward during my 14 year olds “chosen date of death”- which was only last week!! be kind to yourself and be kind to others, you NEVER know what someone else is going through! A simple smile, or letting someone in front of you at the supermarket and even complimenting something they are wearing goes a long way!! ShareMy impact over 3 years

I’m walking in memory of my sister, Dani, and all the loved ones we have lost along the way. If you’re struggling, PLEASE reach out to someone- even a simple, “hey I’m not feeling the best” and sitting beside someone can do wonders!! I know!!
