Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

My Updates

Eenjoying the time out walking

Iv been taking my dog gussy for a walk then after I take gussy on a solo walk I then take 2 small dogs I am fostering g atm untill they have a home. all I know is they really love the nightly walks (even if they always go to the dog park every night lol) they get one on one time and I love to see all there personalities when they are apart from each other. my main dog is a lab cross staffie and he is such. a sweet boy, that has always wanted a friend that could live with us also. but these two smaller dogs kind of keep him at an arms length and I can tell that upsets ny gussy boy. im using these blogs as a reflection time after the walk and also like a entry where I can write whatever comes to my mind. I have lived with mental health my whole life and the one thing that has always help is writing how I feel down at the end of the day. I write about the things I did, things ppl had said to me , things I think about or I might just draw something and not write whole pages. when I was a young teenager I was in state care and my social worker at the time use to get me to write and when I finished writing in a book she would hold it and read it to understand what was going on for me as iv never been good at talking to ppl but I can express it in a song or u can write it down. that one social worker really kept me alive and kept me going. I see her as my parent in away. sadly she passed only 2 yrs ago. we kept in touch all the way up untill the end. thank you for the time . goodnight all

Walking for mental health and why

Im walking for mental health because i myself have mental health illnesses myself, plus my mother had alot of issues I noticed when I was ayoung child and still living with her my mental health has always made me feel like the black sheep in my family or the bad child. I could never handle my emotions, I couldn't explain what was going on inside my brain to let others know that I was not ok. my childhood felt "messy" due to my mental health and I would just like to let others know your not alone. thank you for taking the time to read
