Support My Walk for Mental Health Research
Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience symptoms of mental illness each year?
This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.
I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.
It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

This October, I am celebrating 1.5 years of being in remission from depression. My story started when I was 12, when I first was diagnosed with depression. Then, in 2023 at 15, I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder, after two failed suicide attempts, one of which left me in the ICU fighting for my life. After this, I worked with my family and healthcare team to finally achieve remission in March of 2024. Today, I am the happiest I’ve ever been. I am walking 100km this October for the 1 in 5 people with untreated depression that commit suicide, and the 1 in 2 Australians that will struggle with mental health issues in their lifetime. Share

I’m walking for every Australian child/teen that has or will be affected my mental illness. I was diagnosed with depression before I was even a teenager. In the years after my diagnosis I had support, but beforehand I did not seek help. Early support is critical to help kids and teens get help before they turn to suicide as an option. A suicide attempt should not be the first sign of poor mental health. This photo was taken two days before my first suicide attempt, I was 15.
