Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we canΒ create better mental health for all Australians.

My Updates

My why

My why. Mental illness has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. There are countless moments throughout my life where I have become completely overwhelmed with how much life challenges me. I have surrendered to the overwhelm and given up many times. I am lucky to be here living through this daily decision to choose life. The drive to understand why my mind is the way it is and in turn prevent this struggle for future generations, especially my own children keeps me going every single day. Every single year Ostara brings with her the somatic reminder of my choice to give up on life. In Spring every year I work toward rewriting my story by actively taking steps (literally) to move toward wellness and away from the pull to keep me stuck in my own misery.
