Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

And that’s a wrap! A heap of supporters & members of Team Shredward gathered at Lake Burley Griffin for our last lap… I’m so proud & grateful of the support & team efforts. For Eddie 💕

A day outside today enjoying Spring!

An afternoon walk through the burbs, while visiting my Mum. 💕 loving the girls’ new haircuts❣️🌻

Day 22

A wonderful family day with a 3km walk together around the ‘burbs. Four ‘adults’, my two new grandies & two dogs - day by day, step by step. Warm but overcast to Lee the temperature down along our walk.

Day 20

Finally felt ok enough to go back to my volunteering work this morning. Beautiful, gentle people made it so much easier. ❤️🌻

Keeping moving outside in the Spring sunshine…

Day 18

Quiet time alone today reclaiming my neglected garden. Enjoying watching all the blooms coming out, especially the banksia rose Eddie pruned back hard last year. I feel him with me here, he loved nature too.

Day 17

I stayed home on my piece of paradise today. I needed to ground myself after a hectic week. A little gardening therapy with my feathered & four legged friends was needed. so rewarding in so many ways!

I have the best workplace. 💕

Today was super productive at home. Caring for Eddie’s dog, Sonny, post surgery tonight. 💕

Day 14

We’ve been feeling the sadness this week, so more family time was the aim today🥰 I’m so blessed to have two new grandbabies & older grandies to hold today. Followed by an afternoon walk with Sonny & Inga certainly lifted the mood.

Sadness sat with me today. I stayed outside as much as possible imursed in nature - it’s my happy place. ❤️

A sad day today with tears throughout. Made the most of getting outdoors & walking my 2 dogs.

Today was tough with lack of motivation all round. Tomorrow is another day…

Beautiful sunny day spent with family & friends. Wonderful to watch the NRL grand final with the fam. Eddie would e been so happy his beloved Roosters won❣️

Late afternoon walk after a day of storms & beautiful rain. Supported by my daughter, baby grandson, Eddie’s dog & mine. 🥰

Wet & cool today, so Team Shredward couldn’t get out & about much. Tomorrow is a new day.

Day 1

A 5 hour drive home didn’t do too much to help my step count! So..met the fam for a little warm up session at Lake Burley Griffin with my travel buddies - Sonny & Inga❣️

Losing a child to suicide is shockingly sad. Sad that there was such hopelessness felt. Sad that there were so many more good times to be had - we thought. We grieve together for Eddie. Forever 35 years young. 💔
