I’m walking in solidarity this October for Australians affected by mental illness and suicide. You are not alone. I have been impacted with my own mental health issues and I know how much support I have been given and appreciate and assisting to raise funds to help others in similar situations is so important. As mental health, not only impacts on the individual but also the people around them, family and friends. Thank you for supporting mental health. It means so much to me and those in my life.

Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

My Updates

Day 18

Today is a rest day and I’m just going to do some gardening and mow the lawns. So it’s a pottering around day for me. And relaxing on the top balcony.

16km all up with two long walks. The dogs love the walking more than I do 😂😂

Day 8 - centennial park

Day 8 Super happy with my fundraising and to all of you who have donated for my chosen charity. Today the pooches loved Centennial Park after their visit to the Groomer for their summer cuts. thank you again, the fundraising has been sensational with so much support.

Walking for the walking

5km today doesn’t sound like much but mixed up with legal business makes it a feet. thank you for your support always 🙏

Day 4

All up a big day for me with a total of 19.4km. I’m sure I saw a ghost in the cemetery and scared the hell out of myself.

Day 3

17km today and it’s a great achievement for myself. It’s not only about raising money for mental health it’s also about my mental health. Movement, sunlight and fresh air is important. Good food and nutrition.

Today was a dog free walking day so I stopped off for a lunch break along the way.

Target Reached and Doubled

A huge thank you again to everyone who has sponsored me. I raised my initial target of $500 and doubled it and I have now raised my double target of over $1000. I cannot thank you all enough for your contributions to this fundraiser and would love and appreciate any other small donations from anyone for such a good cause. Mental health affects everyone whether personally or knowing someone who also suffers with mental health issues.
