Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Accounting daily steps transparency

I generally am pretty active due to the demands of work, life and just being overly energetic! Subsequently, I’ve been tracking these daily by accounting for my total KM’s of the day on my Garmin App, subtracting the activities that I’ve logged and had the remaining KM’s be set under “12 hours”. I found having this app constantly track me a massive battery strain, and in my line of work, I can’t afford to run out of charge. Just a heads up on my process 🤠

Changing km goals

Heya Legends, I’m going to give a heads up on the goal being changed often. As I have pledged, I will be matching every dollar amount donated with a KM. Hence, my KM goal will be consistently updated to matched. I did not expect this much to be raised in a week. I’m so grateful for everyone who took the time, especially in a period where every cent is essential in a cost of living crisis! Be proud of yourself that your contribution could be the difference between life or death for another. Also, it is technically tax deductible, which I hope isn’t the incentive, but if so, at least you’re doing it for a good cause. Nevertheless, thank you for believing in the cause. We are all affected by a society structured against our own minds, but together, we stand strong in the face of adversity. So much love ~ Chris xx
