Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience symptoms of mental illness each year?

Mental illness can be debilitating and can have a devastating impact on not only those living with it, but those around them.

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help reduce the impact of mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

My why…..

This October, I’m walking for mental health because it’s a cause that’s deeply close to my heart—both personally and professionally. I work with people every day who are navigating the often invisible challenges of mental illness. I’ve seen firsthand how many suffer in silence, feeling alone or unsure where to turn. That’s why I’m walking: to raise awareness, to start conversations, and to remind people that no one has to face their struggles alone. We all have a role to play in listening, supporting, and lifting each other up. Together, we can help break the stigma and build a community where mental health matters.
