Days 4-9

Tracking well. Got my gravel bike back up and running which has been a joy. Did 42.9kms on day 6. However I have been dealing with knee soreness which has been slowing me down. Yet I'm still getting the job done. Hoping it heals up so I can clock in as many k's as possible for mental health. Peace Gx

Day 2 & 3

We're underway and on track! Despite mechanical issues rendering my gravel bike obsolete, I continued the challenge on my mountain bike and managed to do 36kms on day 2. Day 3 I managed to beat that just and clocked in 37.8kms. 90kms total. 687kms to go! Thanks to everyone who has donated or supported me. I am so grateful. It has blown me away and as a result I have had to update my fund-raising goal (it still includes 777 of course). Peace & Love Gx

First day!

First day of the challenge. I only had limited time unfortunately but it felt good to get a few kms (15.9) on the board. Here we go! Only 761kms left...

Information about the challenge

Hi I will be cycling in support of sufferers of mental illness this October & in a bid to raise awareness around serious mental illnesses. I myself suffer from Manic Depression/Bipolar 1 Disorder which is a serious mental illness that has personally been debilitating, to say the least. I plan to do 777kms (but have a soft goal of 333kms) - These numbers have significance to me and my mental health journey. I will be mainly riding on a bike that I modified when I was unwell. I am recovering from recent illness so I will be being kind to myself whilst also pushing myself as hard as I can for the cause. If you would like to donate, link in my website below. Funds go direct to Black Dog Institute. I'll be posting more to raise awareness about Bipolar in October. It is quite a complex & misunderstood condition that is still highly stigmatised. I'm thankful to everyone who has been a positive force on my path. Any questions please do not hesitate to hit me up.
