Support My Walk for Mental Health Research
Sadly, one in five people experience a mental illness each year… and for many years, I was one of them.
This October, I’m taking on the One Foot Forward challenge—walking 40 km to support Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide. I know 40 km in a month might not sound like much, but with my dodgy knee, my plan is to start with something manageable and build up as I go.
My goal is to raise funds for the Black Dog Institute, so they can continue delivering groundbreaking mental health treatments, education, and digital services for those who need them most. I also hope practitioners and organisations use the Black Dog Institute’s website as a trusted source for referrals and information.
One thing I appreciate is how uncluttered and easy to navigate their website is. For someone in distress, that simplicity matters—it’s mental health–friendly by design.
I’m also grateful to the Black Dog Institute for their simple, free, and accessible fact sheets. They cut through the noise when it matters most. This organisation deserves our support because the future of mental health care—especially for the next generation—depends on it.
If you can, please sponsor me and support my 40 km challenge:

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.
Thank you,
