Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience symptoms of mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

The Adventures of Rem & Jem – #2 Distance: 2.75km | To go: 93.75km A quick dash this morning before Z woke up and what a beautiful one it was. Early bird gets the worm… or in Remy's case, the ducks… again. We were treated to soft mist weaving through the bushland and the gum trees glowing in that perfect early light. The kind of morning that makes you stop and just breathe. Nature showing off, and we’re not mad about it. Remy had another run-in with his feathery nemeses but handled it like a pro. He even came face to face with his first magpie that he didn’t freak out about. Big Boss Remy energy. We also passed by Ollie’s tree, a beautiful old gum standing strong and steady. It made me think of Echo & Ollie 🖤🤎 Miss them always. The bird drama may be ongoing, but so is the joy. Onward.

The Adventures of Rem & Jem – #1 Distance: 3.5km | To go: 96.5km Walk #1 kicked off with Remy trying to chase ducks, getting yelled at by cockatoos, and nearly being chased by a fiery bush turkey with serious attitude. One tangled lead and a kilometre of paranoid glancing later, we survived. 3.5km down and Rem is hoping for fewer canary-related issues tomorrow. Onward for laughs, mental health, and (hopefully) less bird drama!
