Support my walk for mental health research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year? This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide. I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most. It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk. Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians. #strongertogether

Connection to nature

My walks are not just about exercise, they’re about mindfulness, breath, and connecting with nature. When I slow down enough I notice nature and my surroundings. Today… a pukeko.

Decision

I made a decision, a committed decision. It’s from the committed decision I took action. I’ve walked every day since then. During my most challenging times walking has helped me, especially when it’s in the sunshine. Sunshine stimulates the vitamin D production in the body and that contributes to improved mental health. A committed decision. That’s what it took for me to take action.
