Mental Illness impacts Everyone
Hi everyone,
It probably doesn't surprise you that an estimated that 43% (8.5 million) of Australians will experience a Mental Illness at some point in their lifetime?
This October I'm walking/running 100km again for mental health to raise money for mental health research. Having experienced mental illness since the age of 11, physical activity is a tool that plays a huge role in maintaining my own mental wellbeing. When I was diagnosed in 2011, mental health wasn't even discussed - fast forward to today and its a mainstream conversation. My goal is to raise $500 - if I reach that, I'll add an extra 10km for every $100 raised. This funding will support other young people and Australians battling an invisible fight.
