Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience symptoms of mental illness each year?
Mental illness can be debilitating and can have a devastating impact on not only those living with it, but those around them.
This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help reduce the impact of mental illness and suicide.
I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

I have pledged to walk 150kms in October in memory of my beautiful son Isaac , who lost his battle to Mental health at the tender age of 18 , 6 years ago. I walk for me, my loved ones , anyone who continues to struggle with the Black Dog. Mental health doesn’t discriminate , it can happen to anyone, to me, to you, our families, our friends and work colleagues. I do it in the hope it will save one family the loss of an integral part of their family, to save them the daily grief our family endures . I do it as legacy to Isaac, to tell his story .I do it to raise awareness, to start and normalise conversations around mental health and of course to raise $$$. ! Let’s get the message out there ❤️
