A tribute for Wade Bibby

I’m walking in solidarity this October for Australians affected by mental illness and suicide. You are not alone qnd the world is a better place because you're in it. You were such q caring young man, that's left a hole in my world that can never be filled by you4 mere presence ever again. 😥💔 But I'm determined to spread your story so other people's choices on how to cope with life, and the acceptance by us as a community in regards to poor mental health chsnges. If l can help even one young person to shake the black dog then your loss will not be 8n vain. I miss you every second of every day Wado. 😥💔😥💔

Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience symptoms of mental illness each year?

Mental illness can be debilitating and can have a devastating impact on not only those living with it, but those around them.

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help reduce the impact of mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

My Updates

Make memories

One day, you'll take a photo that becomes the last photo you ever take with someone. It won't feel like a last. It won't be staged or planned. You'll smile, maybe laugh, and go on with your day. And only later, days, months, or years later, you'll look back at it and realize... this was it. The last time you stood side by side. The last time you hugged. The last time they were here. They can be gone at any moment, and that photo might be all you have left. If you lost them tomorrow, would you have anything to remember them by? So take the photos. Even when your hair's a mess. Even when you don't feel "photo ready." Because one day, it won't matter how you looked, only that you were there. Life is unpredictable, and moments can slip away in the blink of an eye. That's why it's essential to capture the moments that matter, no matter how big or small they may seem. Don't wait for the perfect moment or until you're "ready." Take the photo, cherish the memory, and hold onto the love. The imperfections, the laughter, and the tears – these are the things that make life worth living. And it's these moments that you'll treasure most in the years to come. So, don't worry about capturing a perfect shot; focus on being present in the moment. Your children will grow up, and they'll remember the moments you shared, not the photos you took. But with those photos, you'll have a tangible reminder of the memories you created together. Take the photos, not just for yourself, but for your loved ones. Take them to remember the good times, the bad times, and the moments in between. Because in the end, it's not about the number of photos you take, but about the memories you create and the love you share. This is the last photo l got to take with my son Wade at Noojee"s trestle bridge. Me and my teammate Nicole travelled out there last Sunday as we reached our individual and team kms goal.
