On average we loose 8 men a week to suicide and that's a figure that I want to help reduce to Zero, unfortunately men are more vulnerable, due to us simply being a man and covering or pretending we are ok. It ain't weak to speak as a bloke or anyone for that matter. Sadly we think it would be better to fix something that is temporary with a permanent solution. Check on your family, mates, friends... In my 45 years of age and experience with life, I've lost at least 5 friends that I wish I could of helped or just sat with them and listened.... I've had my own dealings in my own life with circumstances I never wanted. Mental health is just as serious as any major health problems but we miss it so easily and sadly I wish I reached out to the one's I didn't see struggling with it, otherwise I'd do anything to remind them of how speaking up is the first step in your recovery and I'm proud of you and loved beyond comprehension... Life is tuff sometimes, and the one's struggling the most hit's when they are alone behind closed doors.... I'll never stop this journey, because I've seen and experienced running out of life first hand is heartbreaking.... I'm just lucky I'm still here to give back what I don't want anyone to experience... Check on your loud mates and quiet one's. It just may be the very thing that saves a life ❤️💙

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.
