Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

My Updates

Motivation is key

My husband has not been well for nearly 18 months. He spent 7 months in hospital. During that time we had a whole lot of other things happen as well. It felt like our world was crashing down on us. We both had our fathers pass away, the house we had recently moved in to was sold, leaving me to find another house to move into, pack, move and unpack. Our dog became lame 4 weeks after moving, we had to make a decision about treatment, will she live or will we let her go, all whilst my wonderful husband was receiving inpatient care. I'm so glad to say I've had my husband home again, it's been 7 months however he still has a long road to go to even start to feel anything other than the way he does now, trying to find the medications that will work for him. He is my inspiration, his resilience, persistence and strength through all of this is amazing. I couldn't imagine a world without him in it. I love you honey. One day at a time. We'll get through this together. I'm not going anywhere, I promise xxx
