A tribute for Jae and Sam

Mental Health is such an important cause. I have struggled with mental health and anxiety my whole life, and my teenage son is struggling now, and trying to access services and support for him, and all the gaps and failures of the system highlights to me how crappy the public system is for the people struggling- especially in rural and remote areas. There needs to be more services in place, more emergency help for families as well. We all have our reasons for doing this fundraiser- I have lost some amazing friends and family to suicide; the worst thing for me is that perhaps if the needed supports or just positive and regular communication and check it's were put in place (not leaving people alone to battle it themselves with no follow up care) it may have been preventable.

Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.
