Support My Walk for Mental Health Research
Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?
This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.
I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.
It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.
Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

My why
Mental health is something that hits close to home for me. I’ve had my own personal battles with mental health, and I’ve also watched people close to me lose friends and loved ones to mental health struggles. It’s a reminder that you never truly know what someone is going through, even when they look okay on the outside and seem to have their shit together. That’s a big part of why I wanted to take on the One Foot Forward Challenge. Every kilometre I’ve walked throughout this challenge has been extra to my normal daily steps. There have been days when I’ve been tired, when it’s felt hard, and when I’ve genuinely thought about giving up. But in those moments, I’ve reminded myself that I just need to put one foot forward and keep going. Because as hard as it might feel to get out there and walk those extra kilometres, it really is a small thing compared to the mental health battles some people are facing every single day. Sometimes, just getting out of bed, getting through the day or finding the strength to keep going is a massive achievement in itself. I’m doing this for myself, for the people I love, for those we’ve lost, and for those who are still fighting battles that others might never see. If sharing this helps even one person feel a little less alone, or reminds someone to check in on a mate, then every step is worth it. One foot forward. One step at a time. One conversation could make a difference. And please remember, if you ever need someone to talk to, someone to listen, or even just someone to go for a walk with, I’m here.
