Support My Walk for Mental Health Research
Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience symptoms of mental illness each year?
This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.
I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.
It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.
Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.
My Updates

One step at a time

October is my birthday month & my wish this year is to have better mental health for all Australians. So please get behind this adventure & together we can make a difference.
Not all know of the personal struggles that I have faced this year, but they have been and are real. I have had PTSD triggers as well as a strong feeling of despair. While not actually seeking out something to harm myself if I had been handed a way I would not be here.
The support of friends, family, my chaplain & mental health workers have been invaluable.
It would mean so much to me if you could donate and or share my post to support my walk.

I’m walking in solidarity this October for Australians affected by mental illness and suicide. You are not alone. This year has been a real struggle for me too both mentally and physically. the PTSD has been present and while not actively wanting suicide if someone had given me a weapon of any description I would not have been here. I am grateful to my friends, the chaplain and to the services that are there when I need them most. I am walking/ rowing 30kms (starting small) this October to raise awareness and funds so that others may have the help they need like I have. My goals are small but the impact is mighty. I am part of the NSW SES walkers team and together we want to make a difference. I urge any other NSW SES members to get on board, help us become mighty. Otherwise you can sponsor me and/or support me in my efforts.
