Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

My Updates

Day 22 of one foot forward

I went to the gym to do a 10km bike ride today. I have adjusted my 40km goal to 120km goal.

Day 19 of one foot foward

With the rain around I did kilometres on the exercise bike at the gym. So grateful to have this option.

Day 17 of one foot forward

Walked at Minnipi Park today. It was overcast and there was some rain. Great walk to be outdoors

Completed day 16 of walking for one foot forward

Today I walked around the White's Hill Reserve. Some areas of the track had a steep incline. Saw two koalas which was amazing.

Day 15 of walking for one foot forward

Walked along the walkway at a local park. It was overcast and got a light bit of rain.

Day 14 of one foot forward

Today I walked around Wellington Point. It was windy, however the walk was great.

Day 11 of walking for one foot forward

Today I walked along the water at Clontarf and walked out to the Woody Point Jetty. I saw a pelican and the sun was shining. A great day to walk and raise awareness about mental health and wellbeing.

Day 10 of one foot forward

I went to walk at Manly/ Wynnum today. Beautiful day for a walk. I love the smell of the salt air and feeling the breeze on my body.

Day 8 of one foot forward challenge.

Went to Wellington Point the tide was quite high. I went on a bush track for a while and then I walked along the sandy part of the forshore and navigated over and around mangroves.

Day 7 of one foot forward

Walked at the Victoria Point foreshore past Les Moore Park. A lovely sunny day and the sea breeze picked up on the walk.

Day 6 of walking for one foot forward

Got strarted on day 6 before the rain started. When the rain did start I had a rain jacket so I continued walking. I felt like I am getting fitter each day as I walk. I have enjoyed walking in nature.
