Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Bush walk with meiji

Saw some goats in the bush, would have taken a picture but MeiMei was going nuts. Lots of froggy noises by the ponds at the gold course. They make a bit of a 'pobblebonk' noise. Theyre quite loud.

Walk with company

Had a bush walk with Meiji and Natalya. Incidentally but delightfully bumped into Tess. Meiji was very keen on smelling everything. Wild orchids in abundance. Natalya thinks they're chocolate somethings. Will have to borrow a guidebook. Downloaded a tracker to measure distance with a free trial but keen for recommendations in this space. thanks for supporting and donating ❤️

Day one

Day One was a little bit of a flop with the intense weather warnings. I am suceptible to thunderstorm asthma and had to stay indoors. Flash flooding completely drowned out my walking plan dreams of starting out on the beach or a board walk. I opted for some yoga and much needed lower back, hip and hamstring stretching. Nervous that I have to fit 100kms into a month while mothering two kids that cannot and will not walk that far, with one less day to do it. Can I do it? I will. It's gonna mean walking more on other days to make up for this weekend.
