Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

My Updates

October 15 (5th run)

It is October 15 and I just finished my 5 run I did 3.5 kms with my dog this was my first run since I stopped running to rest for my carnival and I missed about 10 days worth or running so I will have to amp up my amount of running everyday to catch up I did do more movement the day after I logged the carnival because I sort of felt like it cheating.

10th of october surf sports branch carnival

It is the 10th of October and I did a full surf sports carnival today I swam boarded and ran today I medals in most my events

Day 3 (run 4)

I just finished my fourth run and it was a 4 km I ran a different corse I finished the first 2kms then turned around and my legs where on FIRE so I started doing higher steps wich made them feel better then I stopped completely then went to run again but my legs felt worse so I walked for another half km then stopped the timer and layed down a car passed me then pulled back around and asked me if I was okay I said yeah just came from a run and was tired so then she offers to take me back but I rejected I than ran of laughing from the embarrassment that taught me to never stop running no mater how much it hurts.

Day 3 (run 3)

Today is October 3rd and I just finished my third run I missed doing my runs yesterday wich means I need to turn one of my daily 2 kms into a 4km for today and tomorrow I missed the yesterday because I got back late and woke up late leaving no morning or afternoon to run in. this run my legs didn’t hurt as much but my feet did (maybe my cheap 12$ Kmart shoes) and my breath felt heavy possibly from the heat that’s starting to creep in I also passed the same motor bike twice.

Day 1 (run 2)

I’ve just completed my 2nd run I went on a slower pace because I was tired from the morning still but also because I brought my dog (she needs to loose a bit of weight) the rain held of this run so I didn’t wear a rain jacket and my ankles didn’t hurt as much. this run made me realise how hard this challenge might be.

Day 1 (run 1)

Today is the 1st of October and I’ve just finished my first run although I was a bit sick and haven’t run for two weeks and it was raining I think I did pretty good I also was swooped by a plover and had to sprint away wich I think made my legs and ankles sore.
