Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we canΒ create better mental health for all Australians.

My Updates

Park run pb’s

First Parkrun Done! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ 5km in 40 minutes and I am absolutely stoked! Today was a massive personal achievement. I managed to run a full kilometre not once, but twice, and even found enough left in the tank to run the final 500 metres across the finish line! It might not sound like much to some, but for me, this is huge. Every kilometre is another step towards becoming fitter, stronger and proving to myself just how much I’m capable of. A massive shoutout to my best mate for encouraging me to come along and coaching me every step of the way. What was a leisurely stroll for him was a serious workout for me, but having him there pushing me along made all the difference. πŸ˜‚ And the absolute best part? Having my wife and daughter waiting for me at the finish line. There’s something pretty special about pushing yourself to achieve something you once thought was out of reach, then looking up and seeing your favourite people there to celebrate it with you. ❀️ First 5km Parkrun in the books, and definitely not the last! πŸ’ͺ❀️

Holiday morning routine β˜€οΈπŸŒŠ

Started the morning with a 20-minute mobility session, followed by a 5km walk with a refreshing 20-minute beach swim at the 4km mark. Fresh air, sunshine, salt water and a massive serotonin boost. Not a bad way to kick off the day! Even better having my wife and brother-in-law along for the adventure. πŸ’™ It’s about more than just ticking off kilometres. It’s about building healthier habits, spending quality time together and taking active steps towards improving our mental and physical health. A little movement, a lot of sunshine and some pretty great company. One step forward at a time. πŸ’ͺ🌊
