My story ❤️
Hi everyone ❤️ This October, my friend Mia-Grace and I are walking 40km to raise funds for mental health research. My story,, Growing up, my mum battled Bipolar I with rapid cycling and spent time in and out of mental health facilities. It took around 8 years for her to receive the correct diagnosis, and she is still working with doctors to find the right treatment. I’ve also experienced my own mental health struggles since I was 14, including hospitalisation and periods of severe suicidal thoughts and attempts. Finding the right help and answers has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced. Mental health research is so important because too many people struggle to get the diagnosis, understanding and treatment they need. Please consider supporting our 40km challenge by donating or sharing our fundraiser. Every bit of support makes a difference. 🩷Support Our Walk for Mental Health Research
Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?
This October, our team is taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.
We're walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.
It would mean so much to me if you donated to support our walk.
Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.
