Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

My Updates

Day 9

🖤 Day 9 — 55km & $1,000! 🤍 I honestly don’t know how to put into words how grateful I am right now. I’ve officially reached my $1,000 fundraising goal for One Foot Forward! 🥹🖤 When I started this, I hoped I could raise a little money and use the challenge to help keep the conversation around mental health going. I never expected to reach my goal this quickly. And now I’m sitting at 55km of my 100km goal — just over halfway! Every donation, message, share and bit of encouragement has meant more to me than you probably realise. Knowing that the steps I’m taking each morning are helping support the Black Dog Institute and the work they do makes this challenge feel so much bigger than just hitting 100km. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me so far. Thank you for backing me, believing in what I’m doing and helping me turn something personal into something positive. 🖤 $1,000 raised. 55km down. 45km to go.

Day 5

Another morning of choosing to show up. I’m learning that progress doesn’t always have to be big or obvious. Sometimes it’s simply getting out of bed, getting outside, taking a breath and putting one foot in front of the other. This journey is about more than walking. It’s about looking after ourselves, finding strength in the little things, and remembering that we all have our own battles — many of which the world never sees. I’m incredibly grateful to be here, to have the opportunity to keep growing, and to turn something personal into a way of helping others. Every step is for those still finding their way, those we carry in our hearts, and everyone who needs a reminder that they matter. So, wherever you’re at today, give yourself some credit. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to keep going, one foot at a time.

Day 4

Feeling incredibly blessed to be here, to have the strength to keep growing, and to be part of something that has the potential to change lives. A beautiful morning, a grateful heart, and a reminder that there is still so much good ahead. Here's to choosing hope, celebrating progress, and helping others find their light too. 🤍

Day 3

Three days in. One step at a time. There's something about getting outside, breathing in the fresh air and watching the sun come up that makes you slow down for a minute. It doesn't magically fix everything going on in your head, but sometimes a little bit of quiet is exactly what you need. I'm taking part in One Foot Forward for more than just the kilometres. Mental health is something that has touched my own life, and I know how much someone can be carrying without anyone else ever knowing. I'm grateful to be here. Grateful for the opportunity to take these steps, share a little of my own journey, and help raise awareness and funds for people who need support. Because behind every statistic is a real person. Someone's mum, dad, sister, brother, best mate or child. Someone who matters. So, Day 3 is done. Tomorrow, we keep going.

Day 2

Some battles don't leave visible scars. Some victories look like simply getting out of bed, putting one foot in front of the other, and choosing to keep going. I'm grateful I get to be here doing this. For myself, for those we've lost, and for those still fighting battles nobody else can see. One Foot Forward. Every step has a purpose. 🖤 If this hits home, share it. You never know who needs the reminder.

Day 1

I know what it’s like to fight battles in your own head. So today, I’m grateful to be here. Walking, raising awareness, and doing my little bit for the people who are still fighting theirs. One foot forward.
