Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

Day 22

Slowly sneaking up on the target.4.4k today. I'll see how tomorrow looks 🤪

Day 20.

We're slowly sneaking up on targets. tomorrow could be a great day to donate because from 10am EDST (9 am) real time. donations are doubled, so please get on board this great offer. 🙏 It's 12 today since my right knee replacement, couldn't believe at the time that I would be putting One Foot Forward 😑

Day 19

Just a steady 2and a bit today. the old legs are starting to feel the pinch. 5 a day from here and it's mission accomplished 😎

Day 17

Biggest day so far. walked the race track like I was going to last weekend but the races were called off. I've just walked in and it has started to rain someone's looking after me 🙏

Day 15

Nice and cool 😎. 4.6ks The clacker tracker stopped again just after I started my second part. It's all good.

Day 13

Hard work today. But got some ks up and put Chriss' girls to bed. Big day, early start tomorrow, I want to reach the halfway mark tomorrow 💪✔️

Day 11

Bit of a battle today. Lucky the car races finished early. ✨️😅

Day 10

My most productive day. Back on target. Thanks again to all the amazing people who have made such an incredible reaction to this fund-raiser. Stunning 😍

Day 8

Another 4 and bit today. had a walking buddy, Hooch"s dog Leo for the first couple of ks. I can walk in boots again. 👍

Day 7

I had a day off yesterday but made a bit of a comeback today. I'm back on target now.

Day 5.

took it a bit easier today. these 71 year old legs needed a bit of a rest. managed 2ks.

Day 4

Aafter a few false starts I managed another 4ks. this tracker is practically useless. I had a spectator today. once I deposit the cash I have currently $220. my $1000 target will passed and it's only early. Let's keep it up.

Day 3

Walked twice today both sessions 2ks. The BDI tracker is pretty dodgy. Apparently I'm about 700 mts from home in someone's house 🏠 🙃.

Day2.

My first walk with Mayesy and my new shoes. Walked from the cop shop to 60km.sign at ZonHoven Park and back. 4ks. First blister.

Day 1.

I thought it might be a good idea to do this walk in work boots. It didn't take long give that plan away. New shoes tomorrow. 👍
