Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

My Updates

We have only one weekend left of this challenge for 100km

Oh dear! I thought 100KM would be quite easy- 31 days and we’re pretty active! However we’ve had a few challenges that have stopped us in our tracks! For the first week I had a chest infection and walking for just 20 minutes was exhausting! Then we had 2 weeks of what felt like non-stop rain! Now we have 79KM’s to do this weekend! Good thing Tim has just brought himself a bike! 🚴‍♀️79KM🤞🏻

Remembering quinny, walking & talking

Walking in memory of Tim’s mate Quinny this month has given space to share some really nice memories and funny stories. It’s been very healing to talk about many things, particularly loss and grief as we often avoid these feelings, walking makes it so much easier. 💜

Quick tramp around the block

A quick loop around the suburb with Tim and Kitty. Beautiful calm evening before the rain sets in. It was a scorcher today!

Shelly beach waterfront walk

Today we started our KM’s a little late into the month but I’ve been sick and recovery has been slow. I realise we have a lot of KMs to catch up on, but we’ve taken the first step! Please cheer us on!
