Support My Walk for Mental Health Research
Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?
This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.
I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

22 Kilometres Down—Every Step Has Meaning 💙
I’m proud to share that I have already completed 22 kilometres of my 60-kilometre One Foot Forward challenge.
I am walking in honour of our much-loved Paul, who fought a silent battle that shocked us and changed our lives forever. I am also walking for everyone affected by mental illness, including those who may be struggling quietly and feel they have nowhere to turn.
Exercise does not come easily to me, so this is a genuine personal challenge. There have already been moments when my legs have hurt and I have wanted to stop, but those moments remind me why I started. For many people, simply making it through each day can be an enormous challenge.
Every kilometre is a step towards raising awareness, supporting vital mental health research and encouraging more open conversations. Most importantly, it is a reminder that nobody should have to face their struggles alone.
