Support My Walk for Mental Health Research
Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?
This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.
I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.
It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.
Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

One step at a time one day at a time it ok to not be ok ❤️
🖤 One Step Forward – Black Dog Mental Health One Step at a Time, One Day at a Time Mental health is something that affects so many people, yet it is still something many struggle to talk about. We all have our battles. Some are visible, while others are hidden behind a smile, a laugh or the simple words, "I'm okay." The black dog is often used to describe depression and the darkness that can come with mental health struggles. Sometimes that black dog is quiet, and other times it feels like it is taking over everything. But no one should have to face that darkness alone. One Step Forward is about recognising that life isn't always easy. It's about understanding that some days, simply getting out of bed, having a shower, going for a walk or talking to someone is a huge achievement. And that's okay. It's about reminding people that they don't have to have everything figured out. They don't have to pretend to be strong every single day. Sometimes the strongest thing a person can do is admit they are struggling and ask for help. Breaking the Silence We need to start having more conversations about mental health. We need to stop judging people for what we don't understand. We need to listen without criticism, support without judgement and remind people that they matter. You never truly know what someone else is going through. A simple message, a phone call, a coffee or asking someone if they are genuinely okay could make more of a difference than you realise. Why One Step Forward Matters One Step Forward is more than just a name. It's a reminder that recovery and healing don't happen overnight. There will be good days and bad days. There will be setbacks, tears, frustration and moments when moving forward feels impossible. But taking one small step is still progress. You don't need to run. You don't need to have all the answers. You just need to keep trying, at your own pace. You Are Not Alone To anyone who is struggling with their mental health, please remember: You matter. Your feelings matter. Your story matters. Having a bad day doesn't mean you have a bad life. Asking for help isn't weakness. It takes courage. And if today all you managed to do was get through the day, that's enough. Tomorrow is another opportunity to take that one step forward. Together We Can Make a Difference Let's create a world where people feel comfortable talking about mental health without fear of being judged. Where checking in on someone becomes normal. Where kindness, understanding and compassion come before criticism. Because sometimes all it takes is one person to listen, one conversation to bring hope and one small step to begin making a difference. One Step Forward – Black Dog Mental Health One step. One conversation. One day at a time. 🖤 You don't have to walk alone. ShareThank you to my Sponsors
