Support My Walk for Mental Health Research
Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience symptoms of mental illness each year?
Mental illness can be debilitating and can have a devastating impact on not only those living with it, but those around them.
This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help reduce the impact of mental illness and suicide.
I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.
It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.
Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

My reason to walk
this is what my hubby wrote today... he is the reason I've walked for the last 6 years....... It has been 12 months that I have been off work due to health issues both physical and mental. I would like to take the time to thank all the supportive and understanding people in my life who have made this journey easier than it could have been. I would like to thank Pam Breeze, Stephanie Beck Stephen Bartholemew and all the guys and girls from Borgs White Ave. There are many many people who have stood by my side but there are a few who deserve special mention - Lewis Ferguson who for some reason doesnt hate me even though I burden him with my thoughts, but has always been super supportive Jim Stevenson my longest and dearest friend who I have known since infant school, who supplies me with rational thoughts. Cris Allen who despite all the issues that she is facing, supplies me with comic relief which brightens my day. Leanne Robyn and Ward Leister who have been life long friends. There is most of all my family - Melinda Peake, Cindy Johnson Josh Johnson Jason Peake Maddi Peake Spek Peake, Maree Peake Di Hutchesson. Each day they give me comfort and support. Thanks to all everyone for being paitent and understanding even on the days when I have been grumpy and unapprochable. These are days when the Black Dog is at it worst. Peakey.
