Support My Walk for Mental Health Research
Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?
This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.
I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.
It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.
Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.
My Updates
Why?
This is the first time in my life I’ve been mentally well enough to feel like I can transparently advocate for mental health awareness and support.I live with mental health and have done so for over a decade. Suicide prevention tools and resources is one factor I credit to me being alive today, that along with the support and love of my family and friends.
I am really hoping to raise $1000 which directly goes towards funding research for suicide prevention.
BDI and so many other mental health support systems have been of invaluable support to myself and my family over the years.
This is my way of saying thank you, and hopefully showing people that you can survive (literally), and as of today, suicide ideation and thought is something that happened to me, not somethings that’s happening. It doesn’t scare me like it used to.
