Support My Walk for Mental Health Research
Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year?
This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.
I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.
It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.
Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.
My Updates
For the strongest people I know 🖤
This October, I’ll be walking 60km for the Black Dog Institute’s One Foot Forward challenge, raising funds and awareness for mental health. 🖤This cause has always been incredibly important to me, but this year it means more than I ever expected it to.
Very recently, I lost one of my best friends — genuinely one of the strongest people I have ever known. It’s a loss I’m still trying to comprehend, and one that has reinforced just how important it is that we keep talking about mental health, checking in on the people we love, and making sure support is there when people need it most.
Mental health has also touched my life personally. I’ve had my own struggles over the years, and I have people incredibly close to me who continue to fight battles that aren't always visible to the outside world.
One thing I’ve learnt is that strength doesn’t always look like having everything together. Some of the strongest people you know can be carrying things you know nothing about.
So, throughout October, I’ll be walking 60km in memory of my friend, for the people I love who are still fighting, for my own journey, and for everyone who has ever struggled quietly.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, I would be incredibly grateful. If you can’t, sharing my fundraising page or simply checking in with someone you care about means just as much. 🖤
60km. One month. One foot forward. For those we've lost, those still fighting, and those learning how to keep going.
