Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental illness each year? I count myself as one them , having lived with anxiety and depression for many years.

This October, I’m taking part in One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking (very modest distances) to raise funds for Black Dog Institute to put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

My Profile Picture

I took the photo I've chosen as my profile picture a few years ago in Dunsborough, Western Australia. I call it "Lonely Tree". The tree has been standing through a long dark night, stripped of its leaves and vitality. It almost seems to be leaning away from the approaching dawn, as if the light is something foreign. Many with mental health issues spend long periods in the dark but with the help and loving support of friends and family, that seemingly foreign light will inevitably return.
